Available Doodle Puppies

Two of my boys are the fathers to litters bred by my friend Debi. Her brown 40 pound Goldendoodle girl, Sophie, was bred to my 30 pound Labradoodle, Peter, for medium Chocolate Double Doodle puppies. Her 25 pound Goldendoodle girl, Anna, was bred to my 7 pound poodle, Rocky, for petite 15-20 pound gold & red color Goldendoodle puppies.

The Doodle puppies are ready to go home now. Debi is an excellent breeder & takes outstanding care of her puppies. They are raised in her living room and totally spoiled. She only has two moms & breeds just once a year. Her puppies are her pride & joy. The moms are fully health tested & certified just like the dads (who are my boys). Plus, Debi gives a good health guaranty too. I’m getting a new stud boy puppy for myself out of Anna’s red petite litter. All the puppies are non-shed and have fleece coats. They are the same price as my puppies.

For more info about the puppies contact Alicia by email.

I won the Nationals!

I’m so excited that I just had to post this info here on the Doodle blog. Since our Bordoodle puppies are related to my line of Border Collies, it is technically relevant…

This past weekend a border collie I bred won Best of Breed at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. His name is Rodeo and he’s out of my retired girl, Bindi Su and my Belgium boy, Elijah.

Here is the link to see this lovely boy on AKC’s site for the 2011 Nationals

SOLD: Trained Labradoodle Adult

Nana

Nana sold to a wonderfulnew home.
She is an outstanding dog and has a fantastic temperament. Nana loves all kids and all people. She would make a very good therapy dog. Nana is stable, outgoing, super calm, sweet, loving and naturally obedient. Her temperament is a nice blend of great traits of both Labs and Poodles.

Nana is a second generation Labradoodle (F2). She weighs 55 pounds. Her coat is a light shed, but if groomed once a month she nearly does not shed at all. Her coat is shaggy, silky and does not mat.

Nana is an avid swimmer. She also will fetch and likes to carry a toy around. She gets along great with other dogs and has a strong mothering instinct with both young animals and children. We named her Nana because she reminds us of the Nana dog on Peter Pan.

Nana is house trained, dog door trained and crate trained. She has great house manners and is calm in the house.

Nana is retired from breeding. She is fully health tested and very healthy. She is spayed, up to date on shots and on monthly heart worm prevention. She is 3 years old.

Nana is available for our puppy price of $1800.

Olivia’s Newborn Puppies

8 Double Doodle puppies

Three boys, 5 girls

Olivia gave birth to her first litter of puppies November 22, 2011. She had her first puppy at 1:00 pm and the last at 5:30 pm. We did an xray a couple weeks prior and it only showed 6 puppies. Wow, were we excited to see the last 2 puppies! Extra puppy surprises are fun. The litter is brown/ chocolate. There are some different shades of very dark chocolate to some medium chocolate. We got a lot of girls this time. 5 girls and 3 boys. Two of the girls also surprised us and came out Parti color. We know Peter is Parti factored since his father is a Parti. But we did not know Olivia carries Parti. Her mom, Ariel, does not. But her dad, Caillou, does. In some Caillou litters we got some white chests and paws. Olivia got the parti gene! Both Olivia and Peter were born here. Their litter is our third generation of Safari doodles. Its exciting to see multiple generations of our breeding.

Labradoodle Coat & Genetics

Ariel, F1 Labradoodle

Nana, F2 Labradoodle

The brown & silver dog is Peter, Multi-Gen Labradoodle

Two of Ariel’s puppies, have perfect Fleece coats, are sitting with me, Alicia

The red dog has a nice shaggy smooth fleece coat

The differences between the temperaments in Ariel & Nana pups are radical, yet there are some similar traits as well. Mainly the coats. Both girls produced some wonderful non-shed perfect coats! Both litters are Labradoodles but genetically the two litters are unrelated. Ariel is a first generation, F1.  Her coat is a hair coat almost a lab’s coat with extra length and much lower shed.   Peter, the dad to her puppies, is a multi-generation Labradoodle. His wool coat is curly and has texture to it. It’s totally non-shed and the course texture keeps it from matting. When a coat has more cotton texture (and yes it’s soft to touch!) it mats easily when the coat gets long. His course texture means that each hair is thicker and stronger which allows his coat to hang better and the hairs to not tangle. Coats that tangle easily have a super soft cotton texture. Usually these coats do not hang & flow well. They kink up and seem like a cotton ball…….

Ok. Back to these litters. Nana is a second generation F2 Labradoodle. Her coat is also a hair coat like Ariel but WAY better. Nana is low shed, grows a long shag shiny supple feeling straight coat. This coat does not mat. The dad to her litter is a toy poodle, Rocky………

So here is what happened. In Ariel’s litter we have some outstanding shiny non-shed fleece coats that are perfect. They have an ideal Labradoodle coat. One girl has more texture like her dad, Peter and will be curlier than the rest of the litter. In Nana’s litter. Wow. The best coats! All are fleece, shiny, smooth, non-shed outstanding coats. These litters coats are nearly identical even though unrelated. Here is the breakdown of genetics…… Ariels litter is considered F2 (second generation) Labradoodles from her side. From Peters side they are Multi-Gen (many generations) Labradoodles…… Nana’s puppies are a third generation breeding of Labradoodles. But because the father is a poodle, they are classified as “b” and still in Nana’s second “F2″ generation. “F2b” is the classification of generation for her litter. Both these crosses of genetics have done a great job producing the ideal Labradoodle coat.

In the pictures above:
The two black dogs sitting alone are Ariel & Nana
The brown & silver dog is Peter
The black & brown dogs are Ariel’s puppies sitting with me, Alicia
The red dog is from another litter, but it shows a nice shaggy smooth fleece coat

Nana’s Available Puppies

Peace girl

*These puppies are Sold*
I took head shots of each of Nana’s available labradoodle puppies today with their collars in front of them. This way you can see who each puppy is. Nana is a 55 pound second generation F2 Labradoodle. The dad is Rocky. He is a toy poodle. Together they produced Medium size F2b Labradoodle puppies. This generation is one of the best crosses for a perfect coat. And you’ll see in the pictures these puppies have outstanding non-shedding coats.  In the Labradoodle puppy pictures you will see the puppy’s collar with them. Look at the list below for the names:

Pictures of the puppies

Today was mostly cloudy and got cold. The puppies enjoyed the cool. I took a picture of them in their yard behind the puppy bumper at the gate. The cold made them get tired quick and most of them did a good job opening the dog door to get inside the house. A few of them will sit and cry about it and wait to be put up.

Another day of Leisure

It is another fun play day in the life of my 15 Labradoodle puppies. The leaves are on the ground and the puppies think they are hundreds of toys. The doodle kids are rolling, grabbing, running and tugging on leaves. Their puppy pool is full of fall leaves and they think that is just fine! It is a game to find their water below the leaves. Ha! way too funny!
