Making Safari Doodles puppies is our passion, not a living. The “puppy market” is flooded with available puppies. Due to this, we are only breeding litters if we have plenty of deposits ahead of time for that exact type of dog.

We also know that this is a big decision and are happy to chat if you have additional questions.
Please keep in mind, a conversation about a puppy doesn’t mean a puppy is reserved for you. If a deposit is placed for a spot or a specific available puppy, then that spot/puppy will be reserved. FAQs
What is the typical wait time?
1-12 months depending on your flexibility and if we have a surplus of puppies born.
Yes, we are taking deposits. Depending on what you are looking for we may have more puppies born than depositors for that litter and availability to take a puppy home within 1-6 weeks. The more specific characteristics you are looking for the longer you may need to wait.
All depositors may request from any litter born. Once the litter is 2 weeks old we establish the pick order, based on the seniority of depositors wanting that litter.
A 4-10 month wait should be expected if you have very specific preferences. We are breeding litters after we receive plenty of deposits for that type of puppy.
Safari Doodles has been blessed with many referrals and repeat puppy buyers and God continues to bless us with healthy puppies, but we have no control over what mothers are able to get pregnant or how many puppies are born in each litter.
Our mother dogs are pets first and we limit the amount of litters each girl has.
How much do Safari Doodles cost?
All puppies, regardless of size, variety, color or sex are $3500.
A deposit of $500 of that is paid up front to be placed on our master deposit wait list. $3000 remaining purchase price is due once your puppy is chosen at 8 weeks of age.
You can place a deposit here. Please also fill out a puppy application when you place a deposit so we know what you are looking for.
How does the Pick Order/Deposit Process Work?
First, we review your Puppy Application and contact you by phone or email.
After deciding that a Safari Doodle puppy is a good choice for your home, you may submit your $500 deposit to go on our master pick list.
Depositors get access to a private page where they can see all litters we have bred and born. We have generally have more litters that are not posted on this public page. Once a litter is born, depositors can then request a spot on that litter.
You are then placed on a list for the litter of interest in the order of seniority of deposits received. The more litters that are born, the higher a depositors pick order seniority rises on a future litter. You may not have a high enough seniority of deposit to be on the first litter of interest.
Depositors are given 1 week to request a spot after a litter is announced. After that deadline we establish a pick order for that litter (based the seniority of deposits). If you are not happy with your pick number for your litter of interest, you may move off that litter and wait on a future litter of interest.
Why do our puppies cost so much?

Puppies come to you up-to-date on deworming, flea & heartworm prevention, vet checked, raised by the “Super Puppy” method using ENS for the first two weeks, Volhard Temperament tested for a perfect placement, fed a super premium dog food & raw fresh food and NuVet Plus supplement, Micro chipped, imprinted to eliminate in the litter box, super socialized with children, raised in the house and pre-spoiled.
When can my puppy come home?
Choices of puppies are made a few days before they are 8 weeks of age for some litters and in person for other litters. The puppies go home when they are 8 weeks old. Our Newfi puppies are usually chosen by doing a facetime appointment as many of our clients are out of state.
We typically send puppies home on Friday’s. If you are not available to be there to pick in person on the go-home day, we can do a facetime appointment and make arrangements for picking up another day. We are happy to hold the puppy a couple of days but if you need to wait more than 4 days to pick up, there will be a boarding fee.
On puppy choosing day we help you make the choice by discussing the professional interpretation of each puppy’s Volhard temperament test results and our opinion of each pup’s temperament after living with them.
If a good choice is not available in that litter we will forward your deposit to a future litter. Deposits are non-refundable but they are transferable to future litters.
